How do I login to Bright Green Projects?

Each organization gets their own secure subdomain, this will be in the format http://mysubdomain.brightgreenprojects.com

You would have defined your subdomain when registering for the first time, you will also have received as reminder email with the subject "Welcome to the Bright Green Projects – Day 1" soon after you signed up. Please contact us if you cannot remember your subdomain.

Which web browsers work with Bright Green?

Any of the following web browsers work with Bright Green: IE 7/8 (PC), Firefox 2 or later (Mac, PC, or Linux), Safari 2 or later (Mac). IE6 does work, however, a few small pieces of the application do not operate as smoothly.

What sort of security do you have?

As of August 2009, all traffic to and from Bright Green Projects occurs over an SSL encrypted connection - take note of the HTTPS and the padlock icon. This is the same level of security offered by most online banks.

What are the hardware requirements for Bright Green Projects?

Bright Green Projects is built on the latest technology and operates as a true SaaS (Software as a Service) removing any need for hardware, software or complex licenses. Bright Green Projects is hosted in the UK, after signing up you will be up and running in seconds. Login to Bright Green Projects is also SSL secured.

Just sign-up to the plan that suits, provide some login details and you’ll be up and running using your standard browser and internet connection within minutes.

Do you have a task wall?

Yes. We have a Kanban based task wall. Your Requirements, Stories and Issues are represented as cards on a wall once you have associated them with an Iteration.

Do you have a Traceability Matrix?

Bright Green manages the implementation from start to end. To ensure your requirements are being delivered, query the tree view. Furthermore, the requirement, issue or story will no longer appear in the backlog once it has been assigned to an iteration.

How do I add dependencies?

Dependencies can be added from the detail view or the tree view. From the detail view, use the dependencies panel to the right of the screen. From the tree view, use the Actions button.

How do I export my data?

At the top of each tree view you will notice a little Excel icon. Click on this to export to a CSV.

How do I import my existing data?

From the Administration Area, you can use the Data Import function to import requirements. Once you have a paid account, please let us know and we will be happy to import all of your existing data into Bright Green.

Is it easy to start using Bright Green Projects, even if I’ve already started the project?

Bright Green Projects is very intuitive and all project team members from analysts, to developers and stakeholders find it easy to use. If you’ve already started gathering your requirements, we have a bulk data upload feature to migrate your existing requirements directly into Bright Green Projects.

How do I get started with Bright Green Projects?

You can start your completely free 21 day trial with a no questions asked cancellation option today.

You can vary your account type each month, which means you can ramp up during your project and then drop down after go-live.

There is no contractual lock-in beyond your current month, so you are also free to end your service at anytime, we will be sad to see you go, however, we will send you on your way with all of your data in an XML file.

How does the 21-day free trial work?

You can access Bright Green Projects at no cost for 21 days. At the end of your 21 day trial, you will be prompted to sign-up to a plan or to close down your account.

How does the free account work?

The Free Account is a Personal Plan which can only be used by one person and one project. We have found it is very popular with startups and small companies. We will never charge you for a personal plan, but we hope that as you grow, you will consider upgrading to one of our paid accounts.

What is our refund policy?

Can I change plans at any time?

Yes. Simply click on the “Billing” link from the “Administration” tab.

Do I have to sign a long term contract?

No. This is a pay-as-you-go service. There are no long term contracts, you simply pay month-to-month. If you cancel, you’ll be billed for the current month, but you won’t be billed again.

What if I have a big project, can I increase my plan and then drop it back again?

Yes, you can change your plan on a month to month basis too.

Which forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Unfortunately we do not accept cheques, or invoices to be paid at a later date. Each month we will email a "PAID" invoice each time you are billed.
